Do you feel rushed to put together a stunning outfit for your partner this Valentine's Day? There always seems to be an issue with it—you struggle to find an accessory that matches that dress, or maybe those heels have one too many scratches. No matter what you end up wearing, it's important to have nails that match. Here are my top 20 Valentine's Day nail ideas.
1. Black Lacey
These nails would work with any little black dress, or lingerie. They are simple enough to do with a black striping brush and a light pink or nude base. You could also adjust the look to match the lacey detail on your outfit.
2. Simple Rose
These nails are perfectly simple—just using a striper brush create the stem, then sketch the shape of a jagged half circle, creating the flower, outline it and you are done! I love these nails in particular because the wine red isn't standard for Valentine's Day, but it works. You can also feel free to mix up the colors of any of these designs to create something more original.
3. XO <3
These XO nails are very youthful and fun. The best part about these is that they can be done on both long and short nails with nothing but a striper brush.
4. Love Wire Nails
As you can see, these nails are made of thin, bent, rose-gold wire that was glued onto the nails. Obviously, these nails would look just as good painted on. All you need is a striper brush!
5. Classic Gillter French
French nails seem outdated, but you can elevate them with a touch of glitter. This nail design is actually from my Instagram (@gloomy.nails) and the gel polish I used was OPI Princesses Rule! If you haven't already go check out my most recent blog post where I talk about Why Beginners Should Invest in Gel Polish.
6. Plaid Hearts
For that one friend that wears plaid in the Winter... aka me.
7. Lovebirds
Another way to dress up a french manicure, with some lovebirds.
8. Heart Dotticure
A simple design that appears at though they were drawn on your nails with pen.
9. Simple Glitter Accent Nails
For when you don't feel like doing nail art, but you want to look cute and have your nails match all month.
10. A Little Extra
When you want your nails to look better than your outfit.
11. Lobster Love
Come on, how could I not throw this in the mix?
12. Heart Drag Marble
Simple drag marble that any good nail artist could do.
13. Layered Hearts
Just remember to let the polishes dry first.
14. Kiss Nails
For the friend that has more than one vibe.
15. Non-Traditional
When you want to break the color scheme rules a bit.
16. All Accent
You can pick one, or do all! It's really your choice.
17. Hearts on Black
For the minimalist. These hearts would also look good on bare nails.
18. Fun Stamping Inspiration
A funky color scheme, these nails are by far my favorite and are unlike anything I've seen! Obviously these are stamped on and you most-likely will have trouble freehanding these,
19. Glow-In-The-Dark Cupid Nails
Not too sure how Valentine's Day these are, but aren't they cool!
20. For More Nail Art Designs...
If you still aren't inspired, I reccommend checking out cutepolish's channel. No I am not sponsored by them, however their channel helped me first start doing nail art. I think they have some fairly simple designs, just make sure you apply thin coats and let the polish dry!
